William Brookes School, in partnership with Oldbury Wells, Idsall and Bridgnorth Endowed Schools, will be delivering the new Diplomas from September 2010.

A group of Year 9 students who have chosen to study one of 5 new Diplomas will be attending a Diploma Induction Day on 25 June 2010 where they will have the opportunity to experience a typical Diploma day, which includes special transport arrangements, in readiness for September.

The Diplomas on offer from September at higher level (level 2) are:

· Business, Administration & Finance (at Oldbury Wells)

· Creative & Media (at William Brookes)

· Engineering (at Bridgnorth Endowed)

· Society, Health & Development (at Bridgnorth Endowed)

· Sport & Active Leisure (at Idsall)

The induction day has been planned to give Diploma students an opportunity to travel to the relevant school.

The day will reflect a typical Diploma day and students will have the opportunity to meet with their groups and with the teachers involved in delivery.

There will be taster activities related to Diploma delivery, tours of the schools and a competition to design a Diploma logo during the day.

The plan is for students to enjoy the experiences of the day and for them to feel well prepared before starting this exciting new qualification in September.
